Centralised lubrication programmed for
production

A ready-to-install centralised multiple-point lubrication system can be remotely programmed to feed lubricant to multiple positions on production lines at regular intervals.

The Safematic centralised multiple-point lubrication system from SKF can be remotely programmed to feed lubricant to multiple positions on factory production lines and machinery at regular intervals The ready-to-install MultiLube is an automated unit that offers complete control over the frequency and volume of the lubricants that are discharged

The unit extends equipment service life, reduces operating costs, and eliminates possible safety issues associated with manually operated lubrication systems, said SKF.

The company said that the traditional method of manual or semi-automatic lubrication can be inefficient and often inaccurate.

Sometimes quipment is under- or over-lubricated, or lubrication is overlooked.

By comparison, the MultiLube system provides a central unit that automatically dispenses an exact quantity of lubricant only when and where it is required.

The compact modular unit comprises a reservoir, available in two sizes, and a pressure-controlled pump mechanism.

The pressure-controlled pump mechanism systematically distributes measured quantities of lubricant via single or dual pipelines for both greases and oils.

There is also a range nozzles and applicators for moving surfaces such as conveyors, chains, rotating shafts, steering axles and pivot arms.

To maintain the optimum operating condition of the lubricant a built in heater is incorporated to ensure the correct temperature of the lubricant whilst in the pump's reservoir.

A MultiLube centralised lubrication system can be re-filled at any stage, even during the production process.

It therefore significantly reduces wear and tear, and enables engineers to reduce associated downtime and maintenance costs.

To adjust lubrication cycles and pressure limits, the MultiLube's built-in control panel will interface with higher level control devices such as SMS and GMS connections.

The centralised lubrication system is compatible with lubricant types NLG1 to NLG2, offers a choice of two reservoir capacities at 4L and 10L, and can operate on 24V, 115V or 230V supplies. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
