Promotional pack sleeve decoration
An innovative re-usable promotional pack, designed by Sonoco and Plastique for Gillette, features sleeves from CCL Decorative Sleeves that provide both decoration and tamper-evidence.
Sonoco is supplying Tetley with 73mm x 82mm paperboard cans for 23 SKUs of tea, which feature a tabbed peelable gold foil membrane top and a blue plastic plug cap embossed with the Tetley logo.
The cans, which are produced at Sonoco's UK plant in Manchester, each hold 20 round teabags.
Steven Rice, market manager of Tetley Canada, said: "This paperboard can does an excellent job of protecting the quality of the tea from unwanted moisture and aroma throughout distribution, as well as after the can has been opened.
As tea is consumed over a period of weeks rather than days, consumers will greatly appreciate the re-close feature of the new pack." The round can also features glossy, six-colour litho-printed paper labels with a Hoverslip high-gloss varnish.
The cans are constructed of two plies of spirally wound recycled paperboard and the peelable membrane top is simple for consumers to remove.
The flexible plastic overcap snaps on and off easily yet securely to safeguard freshness.
