Bench presses have vertical safety
screens
Bench mounted pneumatic presses have been equipped with manually operated vertical safety screens, allowing the cycle to automatically start only when the screen is in the down position.
SMV Presses (UK), the Coventry based power press and ancillary equipment manufacturer has just delivered two-off 6PHR bench mounted pneumatic presses from French press manufacturers EMG to White House Enterprises in Ipswich, Suffolk These presses have been specially adapted to meet the requirements of White House Enterprises being equipped with manually operated vertical safety screens, allowing the cycle to automatically start only when the screen is in the down position

Refurbished presses run progressive tooling
To replace its ageing C frame presses, a Cumbrian press shop invested in three fully re-furbished presses that now enable it to run complicated progressive tooling with full confidence.
Upon completion of the cycle the screen is automatically returned to the up position, for retrieval of the component.
The 6PHR 360kg pneumatic press has a 0-50mm stroke and a clearance height between 20-250mm with a swan neck depth of 95mm and operates at 150mm/second.
The 6PHR is the smallest of a range of EMG pneumatic presses available through SMV in the UK.
The range consist of 6 models ranging from 360kgf to 43kN (4.3tonf) and are used for assembly of connections, small component forming and crimping.
Mike Hall, Sales Manager at SMV Presses (UK) said: "We received this enquiry from White House Enterprises for two bench mounted pneumatic presses that were to be manually operated using the safety screen to start the pressing cycle".
"EMG engineers were able to come up with the solution to fit the customer's exact requirements and White House Enterprises is now producing small high quality press components.".
