Unit monitors vibration and temperature

A Sensonics product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Oct 29, 2003

Dual channel, vibration (or vibration and temperature) alarm monitor is used where predictive maintenance practises are operational for continuously rotating equipment.

Condition monitoring systems specialists, Sensonics have recently introduced the DN2601 dual channel, vibration (or vibration and temperature) alarm monitor.

The low cost DN2601 is particularly suitable where predictive maintenance practises are operational and where continuously rotating equipment such as turbines, motors, pumps, fans etc are in constant use.

Optimising maintenance resources by helping to avoid costly mechanical breakdowns, the compact DN2601 is provided with convenient DIN rail mounting and can be easily fitted in the minimum amount of space.

Fitted locally direct to the machine or operated remotely, the DN2601 features 3 digit LCD display, illustrated in engineering units of G, mm/s, inches/s and degC.

Protection to machinery is provided by a sophisticated dual level alarm system (2 per channel) with both A1 (alert) and A2 (danger) levels incorporated.

The alarms will automatically trip plant or alternatively provide protection via analogue outputs applied to SCADA, DCS or other monitoring/control systems.

The DN2601 features dual vibration monitoring and provides accelerometer, velocity transducer or eddy current probe input options compatible with most manufacturers transducers; a health check feature is included with all of these alternatives.

Sensonics provides a full range of DIN rail mounted units to monitor shaft vibration, temperature, thrust, position (LVDT), speed and reverse rotation; all of these products are designed to eliminate unexpected production stoppages or unnecessary maintenance activity and to ensure cost efficient production conditions.
