Leading EDM supplier has just opened a demonstration facility in Germany at the epicentre not only of the German tool making industry, but also the automotive industry and its suppliers.

Sodick, the world's leading EDM supplier has just opened a new demonstration facility in Magstadt, near Stuttgart, conveniently located near to the airport and at the epicentre not only of the German tool making industry, but also the automotive industry and its suppliers.

Two Open House events, held to launch the new facility, have attracted many visitors.

These included guests from the UK hosted by Sodi-Tech EDM, who were very impressed, as they found it very useful to be able to see so much of the Sodick range all in one place.

The demonstration suite currently houses four wire machines including an AP200 with pallet changer, and an AQ325L with LQ33 control, as well as three sinking machines, the new Sodick MC430L milling machine and the K1BL high precision hole drilling machine.

Sodick, which installed over 2000 EDM machines worldwide in the past 12 months, believes the outlook in Europe is very promising and is therefore strengthening its presence across the region.

Part of this activity is the creation of a new European headquarters, which includes the impressive new demonstration facility and will serve as a major European centre of expertise.
