The demand for Sodick EDM consumables in Europe is growing so fast that it has now overtaken the USA to become Sodick's number one market outside Japan.
The demand for Sodick EDM consumables in Europe is growing so fast that it has now overtaken the USA to become Sodick's number one market outside Japan.
To provide customers throughout the region with a consistently first class level of service, through a fully supported dealership network, a new company, Sodick Hightech Europe, has been created with an HQ and international distribution centre in the West Midlands.
From this location Hightech is supplying specialist dealers across Europe with the full range of genuine Sodick consumables, including wire, pipe electrodes, wire guides, pipe guides, filters, resin and KN and KS fluids.
Each of the 17 dealerships has been carefully selected on the basis of its EDM skills, which have been further enhanced through additional training undertaken in the UK.
Dealers can also call on additional technical support through Sodick's International Technical Support (ITS) system, via the Midlands team, which includes Japanese engineers.
Already employing 11 staff at its Coventry HQ, and with current stock levels valued at over GBP 1m, Sodick Hightech has quadrupled its turnover in the two years.
Hightech president, Peter Capp, comments; "By creating a central hub in the UK, we can most effectively and flexibly support our dealer network and so ensure that customers throughout Europe have direct access to genuine Sodick consumables, spare parts and technical expertise.".
