Ballscrew manufacturer sets up UK
company
Ballscrew manufacturer August Steinmeyer has set up a 'sister' company in the UK, having seen UK turnover grow 60% since a subsidiary was established one year ago.
One year after founding a subsidiary in the UK, ballscrew manufacturer August Steinmeyer has officially formed its sister company Steinmeyer UK Steinmeyer has appointed international sales manager and co-owner of August Steinmeyer, Alexander Beck, as managing director and George Partington as sales director of Steinmeyer UK

Miniature and standard ballscrews presented
The Machine Building show saw the range of high quality miniature (3mm-16mm diameter) and standard size (16mm-125mm diameter) ballscrews from Steinmeyer presented.
One of the best selling products on the UK market is ETA+, a ballscrew designed to increase machine performance.
There is also a steady demand for miniature ballscrews and ballscrews for hi-tech applications, which often have to be custom-made from special materials.
Another important product group is the precision mechanical stages and gauging equipment made by FMD, a Steinmeyer subsidiary.
Partington said: "Customer feedback on our UK operation has been very positive over the last year.
This is why we have taken the step to officially register a limited company in the UK.
We can respond much quicker and assist with the applications, many of which require a lot of expert input from our engineers".
He added: "We are confident that Steinmeyer's business in the UK will grow considerably over the next few years because we offer the right products and service for the many specialist design engineering and niche manufacturing companies based here.
Industry sectors like medical device technology, hi-tech and other specialist branches have a demand for our high quality products.
At the same time many of our standard ballscrews are being used in the more traditional industries like machine tool manufacturing".
