Plot2PDF converts CAD drawings saved as industry standard AutoCAD.DWG and .DXF, HP-GL and HP-GL/2.PLT and.CGM files into the PDF file format.
The recipient of the PDF file can view it using Adobe's enormously popular and free Acrobat viewer.
A specific benefit of Plot2PDF is that unlike most other PDF file generators it creates and saves PDF as vector graphics, which means that the CAD quality of the drawing is retained even when the viewer zooms in or the drawing is plotted out in detail.
Plot2PDF also converts.PLT,.DXF,.DWG and.CGM files to DWF (AutoDesk's Drawing Web Format).
Among the benefits of PDF files are as follows.
1 - Security.
PDF is unlikely to be corrupted by emailing or viruses.
2 - Design integrity.
A PDF drawing cannot be edited, only viewed and printed.
3 - Inexpensive.
You don't need the originating CAD program, just the free Acrobat reader.
Plot2PDF will convert drawings individually or as a batch and can be used from a command line.
Plot2PDF's batch processing facility will convert 100s of drawings at once.
Plot2PDF is available as an Internet download only costing GBP 113.98 (incl).
