Adding to its line of miniature position transducers, SpaceAge Control, now offers the Model 300185 position transducer for demanding industrial control environments.

Adding to its line of miniature position transducers, SpaceAge Control, now offers the Model 300185 position transducer for demanding industrial control environments.

The product delivers extended-life, high-reliability position measurement in a sealed, compact case.

Typical applications include hydraulic cylinder feedback, injection molding machine control, heavy equipment component location, and forklift height monitoring.

Developed as a space-saving alternative to rod-and-cylinder products such as LVDTs and linear potentiometers, the flexible and easy-to-install products use a stainless steel cable wound around a spring-powered precision machined drum.

The bearing-mounted drum is mated to an optical incremental encoder assembly that translates linear position information to an electrical signal.

This transducer technology gives high precision, easy installation, and fast setup.

The products may be quickly mounted using screws provided, an optional rotatable mounting base, or custom installation plates.

The Model 300185 position transducer measures up to 118 inches of travel with external dimensions of only 4 inches diameter by 2.425 inches wide.

The product weighs less than 3 lbs., is NEMA 6 (IP68) rated, and can withstand 100g/15g shock/vibration environments.

Operating temperature is from -40ø to 185ø F.

Custom configurations and signal conditioning are available for unique applications.

The products feature an optical incremental encoder with user-specified resolution, power inputs, and signal outputs.

Operating lifetime is in excess of 5 million full-stroke cycles.
