Highly customised enclosures are now available direct from Spelsberg UK with virtually no lead times.

OEMs and contractors alike can save time and money with access to a fast prototype service and the facility to order ready modified enclosures in place of standard products.

The new on-site milling, drilling and engraving service offers custom cable entries, brand logos or simple instructions on any enclosure in the Spelsberg range.

In order to provide this service, Spelsberg have installed a new CNC milling machine at their UK headquarters.

It can customise all sizes of Spelsberg aluminium, polycarbonate and polystyrene enclosures.

Slots can be cut in the sides of boxes to fit specialist cable glands and entries and extra fixing holes can be drilled for non-standard applications.

Any combination of company logos, product names, wiring diagrams, safety information and routine junction labelling can be applied to lids or other external surfaces.

This overcomes the common problem of labels, and other non-permanent methods of marking, from being removed or becoming unreadable over time.

Spelsberg have the flexibility to quickly produce one or many thousands of bespoke enclosures using the new machine.

Customers will benefit from being able to obtain low cost prototypes without having to place orders for large numbers of one design.

Each enclosure template is then stored on disk, making re-ordering simpler, quicker and cheaper.

Having the facility for customising enclosures in-house in combination with offering the widest range of plastic enclosures ex-stock in the UK, means Spelsberg can significantly reduce delivery times of bespoke enclosures to customers throughout the country.
