Handy DIN rail boxes make fitters' lives easier

A Spelsberg els UK product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 31, 2004

DIN rail box is a simple, inexpensive item that will mount onto any spare DIN rail on a panel or in a cabinet and small essential items can be safely stored on the spot.

How often do electrical engineers arrive at a panel only to find that an essential fuse, cable clip, screw or terminal block is not to hand? Quite often, was the answer received by Spelsberg designers and so the Spelsberg Board Case was designed.

Board case is a simple and inexpensive item that will mount onto any spare din rail on a panel or in a cabinet.

The advantage for maintenance is that small essential items specific to that application can be safely stored on the spot, so no more wasted journeys to find an insignificant but essential wiring item.

The Board Case is also ideal for Panel builders and OEM manufacturers who provide replacement items such as fuses or fixing screws with a new item.

Rather than a plastic bag taped to the cabinet or panel which is almost always removed, lost or 'put away' somewhere never to see the light of day again, Board Case ensures the items are always on hand when they are needed.

The Board case takes up 54mm of Din rail space and is 45mm high ensuring that it does not clash with other items mounted on rails close by.

It is 74mm deep and uses a simple drawer that clips shut to retain the contents.

Board Case is available ex-stock direct from Spelsberg UK in Telford and is one of a large range of wiring accessories offered by the Midlands based company.

Spelsberg also offer the widest range of plastic enclosures and electrical junction boxes off the shelf in the UK and provide a full assembly, modification and technical support service.
