Bulk bag discharger adds 'cone' of sanitation

A Spiroflow product story

A new bulk bag unloading station incorporates cone valve technology that combines a higher level of discharging sanitation with increased operator safety and easier operation.

Spiroflow has introduced a new bulk bag unloading station incorporating cone valve technology that combines a higher level of discharging sanitation with increased operator safety and easier operation.

The need to untie a bag spout is eliminated as the operator simply loads the bag on the station, where it 'docks' into the cone valve device and the emptying process can begin.

Flow rate is variable for either continuous or batch discharge.

Contamination risk to employees is avoided and the product integrity required in pharmaceutical, food and many chemical applications is ensured by eliminating operator intervention from the process.

Cone valves have long been a preferred means of controlled dispensing of dry products from rigid bins, but this involved high costs in cleaning and revalidating empty containers.

Spiroflow has provided users with a cost-effective solution by combining the cone valve with the cost benefits of bulk bags.
