One of the UK's top powder coating specialists, has launched a 'Cast and Coat'service that provides powder coating and die-casting in one single supply source.
Spectrum Powdertech, one of the UK's top powder coating specialists, has launched 'Cast and Coat', a new service that simplifies the supply chain by providing powder coating and die-casting in one single supply source.
In the current economic climate, many UK companies not only have to compete on lead-times, but also face ever-decreasing margins from overseas pressure.
As experts in their field, Spectrum Powdertech devised the 'Cast and Coat' service after realising the provision of a central source of casting, barrelling, powder coating and transport would enable customers to concentrate on serving their client base instead of dealing with a myriad of different suppliers.
General Manager, Paul Edmonds explains: "A lot of our UK customers were finding it very time consuming indeed to source the castings, provide powder coating and arrange the transport.
By using our new service these companies have halved their management time and saved money, thanks to the added benefits of working with a UK company." Spectrum Powdertech also provides non-ferrous pressure die-castings, from tooling design and manufacture to volume production.
The company has a specifically designed plant, which passes components through a chromate-free pre-treatment system followed by a dedicated de-gassing oven.
