Using the Munich Systems Fair in October as the launch venue, Schott Systeme presented its new business graphics software to the visiting public.

Based around the existing 2D and 3D CAD tools found in the company's Pictures by PC CAD/CAM software, the idea is to raise the level of graphics used in business presentations from typical Powerpoint presentations with clipart to graphics with more imagination.

Based around an XML editor, the user starts with a template that can be parametrically altered in 2D or 3D.

All aspects of the graphic such as text spacing, colour, depth, and layout can be controlled.

Being parametric, the user can instantly see the effect when altering any parameters, after which the particular scheme can be saved for later use.

Imagination is the only thing stopping the user creating professional business graphics.

Already with a 3D solid modeller sitting behind, new and interesting effects can be achieved with operations such as filleting, shelling, bending and twisting.

On completion the inbuilt photorealistic renderer produces images of a quality not associated with office software products.

Aimed directly at anyone who is required to create some kind of business presentation, the software is focussed on greatly enhancing the visual effect of what most people regard as dull and boring presentations, while at the same time making it easy enough for anyone in the office to use.
