Shrinkwrap company launches side seal machine

Forty-year-old, UK-based Shrinkwrap Machinery has been manufacturing and supplying packaging systems since 1967 and has purchased an automatic side sealing machine.

Throughout its 40 years the company has maintained a philosophy of providing its customers with the very best quality packaging machinery.

Shrinkwrap has recently added a new machinery range to its portfolio.

The fully automatic side sealer is a high speed complete seal wrapper running with centre folded PO, PVC or PE film and allows packs of infinite length to be wrapped at high speed.

The machine is available with a choice of fixed or moving seal head; the moving head has continuous motion and will run at speeds up to 60 packs per minute, the fixed head between 35 and 40 packs per minute depending on the size of the pack.

The machines features a pneumatically operated Teflon coated sealing bar with constant heating and digital control.

The continuous side sealing unit comprises of three sets of wheels for feeding, sealing and removing excess film.

Up to 40 programs are available.
