Invitation to a Web Seminar: Exploiting SOA in Manufacturing.

Do you have access to timely and accurate data from the shop floor to make dynamic corporate decisions? In manufacturing industry, there are common challenges faced by shop floor supervisors and executives alike These challenges are clearly an obstacle to the firm in realising the true benefits of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

Now all key decision makers across the enterprise, whether on the 'shop floor' or within the 'executive suite', can manage their business proactively based on vital real-time production information.

This free web seminar will provide cost-savings tips that will help your enterprise run more efficiently.

The Manufacturing Challenge:.

* Lack of real-time visibility into manufacturing operations leading to delayed decisions.

* Inability to modify production processes based on changes in demand.

* After-the-fact quality control -a long sluggish "measure-analyse-improvise" cycle.

In this iSeminar Oracle along with its partners - Starthis and Mascon - will present IT and Operations managers ideas on better managing your business pro-actively based on vital real-time production information.

The SOA Solution:.

* Gain real-time visibility into manufacturing operations.

* Rapidly modify production processes based on changes in demand.

* Monitor Quality and provide corrections in real-time and from anywhere.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 7:30 am PT / 9:30am CT / 10:30 am ET.

Our main speaker will be Jim Basler of Oracle.

As the director of application development for an Oracle practice prior to joining Oracle, Jim has been involved in the design and implementation of hundreds of applications in a variety of technologies.

More recent projects have incorporated Java, JSP, J2EE, and Web Services technologies for building the foundations of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) on Oracle's Application Server and the use of Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for process orchestration and transactional integrations respectively.
