"I am very proud that the Siplace team won 2nd place.
After winning awards for our Siplace placement machines and our software, this prize recognises our excellent and globally standardised processes.
It shows that the Siplace team with its global outlook and processes is successfully setting international standards.
No matter where in the world a customer purchases one of our machines: "Made by Siplace" stands for the highest, globally uniform quality standards," said Tilo Brandis, head of Electronics Assembly Systems.
"At Siplace, innovation does not end when a product goes into volume production, but remains a constant calling for our employees.
Our customers know and appreciate this.
It is also reflected in the high level of commitment among all our people, each of whom contributes to keeping our customers happy and our business successful." The success of globally operating electronics equipment manufacturers depends on the one hand on the volatile business of the electronics industries and on the other hand on the rapid availability of customized top-quality placement solutions including software and services.
These requirements demand highly flexible and complex organisational structures, and Siemens EA impressed the judging panel with its exceptionally efficient processes in its global value chain and the highly systematic approach of its management team.
No name just one example, Siemens EA was able to shorten its cycle time to less than half within two years.
"With the global deployment of productivity-increasing methodologies and a shared knowledge base, we can increase our productivity by at least ten percent each year," confirms Gunter Schindler and Jorg Cwojdzinski, who are in charge of production and logistics.
"We constantly focus on all the factors, be it customer satisfaction, quality or short delivery times.
Only if we fine-tune all these factors in their entirety will we be able to remain globally competitive with our Siplace placement machines." The Siplace organisation with its tight network of 75 service locations, 15 training centres, five technical support centres, three RandD centres, two assembly centres and three Siplace factories in Germany and Singapore is continually expanding its global presence.
By globally positioning its locations in the US, Singapore, China and Germany, Siplace is able to take advantage of synergy effects and quickly adapt to rapidly changing regional markets.
