Open days boost CNC sliding head auto

UK agent for Star CNC sliding head automatic lathes reports a recent open day produced eight machine sales and three further orders taken that month brought the total to GBP 1.2 million.
The open days held by Star Micronics at its Melbourne, UK, showroom at the end of April resulted in eight machine sales and three further orders taken that month brought the total to GBP 1.2 million During May, Bonspiel Precision Engineering, a subcontractor in Dundee, took delivery of an ultra-fast, 10mm capacity SR-10J model and ordered another similar machine, bringing the total number of Star lathes on that company's site to more than 25
