Electronic lathe frees up CNC production machines
The installation of an 'electronic' lathe has saved up to a third in machining times over previous methods for copper welding arms and released CNC machines for higher volume work.
This, following six years at Yamazen where, as area sales manager, he represented the Mitsubishi horizontal machining centre products and the Fadal range of equipment as well Tsugami sliding head machines.
Says StarragHeckert UK managing director, Paul Maynard: "When you look back over Nick's career this is the type of experience that fits directly into our equipment sales portfolio.
Nick started as a time-served apprentice and production engineer which led to service and commercial manager positions at Ringway Machine Tools representing high quality machines such as Voest Alpine.
This was followed by two years managing capital projects up to GBP 1 million in airfreight materials handling before joining Yamazen.".
