Stainless scales weigh in in hazardous areas
Weighing in hazardous areas is often associated with cost-intensive, specially developed equipment and complicated accessories.
Combics provides built-in, practical application programs, such as counting, checkweighing, classification and formulation.
As with all Sartorius scales, the Combics range offers the highest levels of build quality and is designed to offer users operating reliability and simplicity.
Three indicators - one ideal level of convenience - the indicators of the new Sartorius Combics series are easy to operate, almost completely by intuition.

Weighing programming is easy, fast and practical
A programming system for Sartorius X-family controllers and Combics Pro terminal provides the option to create specific weighing software or simply to extend the standard software.
Reference laboratory balances weigh without errors
Sartorius balances are synonymous, says the company, with performance and operating reliability and this also applies to the new LA Reference laboratory balances.
Checkweigher integrates into the production line
The new Synus checkweigher from Sartorius not only has an aesthetically pleasing appearance, it also permits flexible but form-fit and friction locked connection to conveyor systems.
Its large keys with a positive click action allow users to work with confidence.
Two of the indicators also feature "traffic-light" checkweighing LEDs.
The 20mm high digits and amber backlighting help ensure error-free reading, even under poor lighting conditions.
The indicators can be set up next to the platform or mounted separately from the platform "work area" on a floor stand, column or wall bracket.
The power supply is integrated directly into the indicator for safety and practicality.
Depending on the operating environment, the degree of protection for the indicator housing can be chosen: impervious to granular objects and splashes of water, IP44, or dust tight and immersion-protected, IP67.
In each case, the front plate of the indicator is made of high-grade stainless steel to provide the best possible protection.
All three indicators can be networked and convenient Windows-based software is available to configure preferred settings.
Thirty platforms - built to last - Sartorius Combics platforms offer weighing capacities ranging from 3kg to 3,000kg and with a displayed resolution of 3,000e or 2 + 3,000e (two weighing ranges) in the accuracy class 1 version verified for legal metrology, or 15,000 d or 30,000d in the standard version.
Depending on the conditions of use, the Combics range includes stainless steel platforms and galvanized or painted steel models.
The load plates can be painted or stainless steel with a selection of different surface finishes - brushed, electro-polished or patterned as a tread plate.
Sartorius offer a choice of stainless steel grades, AISI 304 or AISI 316 Ti, plus various types of protection ratings, IP65, IP67, or IP68.
Sartorius understands industrial requirements, which is why the whole Combics range is designed and manufactured to meet the stringent guidelines of the HACCP and EHEDG.
The scales are easy to clean and disinfect, making it easier to avoid contamination.
The Combics range is also validated for use to GLP, GMP and FDA standards.
With Combics, Sartorius has introduced a range of scales that will meet the requirements of almost every food manufacturer.
To assist companies in choosing the right scale from such a wide range, Sartorius has also introduced a 'Build your own scale' kit which is available from their website at www.sartorius.co.uk.
