Load cells designed to integrate into machinery
A range of state-of-the-art load cells, with ecellent weighing resolutions, has been designed for manufacturers looking to integrate weighing processes into their production equipment.
Sartorius has developed a range of state-of-the-art load cells for manufacturers looking to integrate weighing processes into their equipment.
The range offers cells with weighing resolutions starting from 0.1 microgram, right up to high capacity compression load cells weighing up to 300 tons, offering manufacturers a large degree of flexibility in both specification and design.
Many manufacturers already use Sartorius load cells across a wide variety of fields, including tensiometry, automatic tablet and capsule weighing systems, filling and batching systems and testing systems.
One such company already benefiting from the use of Sartorius weigh cells is UK-based manufacturer Meridica, part of the PA Consulting Group.
Their Xcelodose capsule microdosing system has proved popular with leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide, for manufacturing batches in pre-clinical and early clinical trials.
The system incorporates a Sartorius microbalance to accurately dose from 100 micrograms to 100mg and beyond at speeds of up to 600 capsules per hour, depending on powder characteristics and the level of precision required.
Using their extensive knowledge and application-specific experience in the fields of strain-gauge load cells and electromagnetic compensation load cells, Sartorius is able to offer advice to manufacturers on the best and most cost effective weighing solution for their application.
The company has recently created a dedicated OEM team, who assist customers with their requirements alongside developing new products for the OEM range.
As well as the flexible load cell options, Sartorius also offers weigh cells with a built-in motorised calibration weight, and a range of high resolution weighing platforms.
