Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 1, 2007

With over 20 years' industry experience, Stuart Norton-Collins has been appointed business development manager by DataLase for the UK.

DataLase, originator of the award-winning DataLase process, announces the appointment of Stuart Norton-Collins as business development manager for the UK.

Norton-Collins joins DataLase to further develop the company's growth and to achieve increased sales across the UK.

With over 20 years' industry experience, Norton-Collins has managed accounts for companies in the manufacturing and IT sectors, as well as winning new business and achieving excellent sales results.

Previously working for Smurfit Corrugated Leaving as an area representative, Norton-Collins helped to increase the area turnover by GBP 2 million and retained profitability.

Stuart most recently worked as a key account manager for the Southwest division of Rigid Containers, where he oversaw a significant growth in sales from a zero turnover, resulting in the construction of a new integrated plant.

Norton-Collins will be working to forge partnerships with existing and potential customers, communicating the advantages of DataLase products over traditional labelling technologies.

DataLase works with many of the world's leading printing and packaging companies to provide a wide range of innovative laser marking solutions across a diverse range of sectors including product identification and anti-counterfeiting.

The innovative DataLase process uses a laser reactive coating, which undergoes a colour change reaction from white to black when imaged with a low powered CO2 laser.

Steve Kelly, CEO of DataLase, commented, "With his wealth of experience in a variety of account management positions, we are thrilled to have Stuart joining us at DataLase.

Stuart has the perfect combination of technical knowledge and excellent communication skills for developing our customer base and discovering suppliers who wish to benefit their end user by integrating DataLase technology into their processes.".
