New DataLase CASEMARK tape applicator

A Datalase product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 14, 2007

DataLase, originator of the award winning DataLase process, will be unveiling its latest addition to the DataLase product line at Total Packaging 2007.

The new applicator for the groundbreaking DataLase CASEMARK Tape solution is the first piece of hardware to be made available as part of the groundbreaking DataLase suite of products.

The applicator will be demonstrated alongside other DataLase products on stand #4231 at NEC, Birmingham, May 15th - 18th 2007.

The DataLase CASEMARK Tape applicator has been developed to apply the unique DataLase CASEMARK Tape directly onto secondary packaging such as corrugate shipping crates.

The new applicator will enable packers and manufacturers to apply DataLase CASEMARK Tape to outer case packaging, on the final production line.

With the new applicator for DataLase CASEMARK Tape it is now possible for the packer/manufacturer to decide where on the corrugate box the variable information (such as bar codes) is required, and the cost-effective tape is then applied directly onto the packaging.

"With the new applicator, packagers and manufacturers have the flexibility to harness the unique benefits of the DataLase process", comments Steve Kelly, CEO DataLase.

"As a company we are keen to offer our customers a whole range of print and packaging solutions, and the DataLase CASEMARK Tape applicator is the latest addition to our award-winning suite of products.

DataLase CASEMARK Tape was unveiled at Pack Expo 2006, as an alternative to the award-winning DataLase CASEMARK pre-print solution.

With DataLase CASEMARK, the corrugate packaging was supplied to the packer/manufacturer by the converter, pre-coated with the DataLase CASEMARK ink.

DataLase CASEMARK Tape contains the unique DataLase ink, which, when exposed to a low power CO2 laser, changes from white to black, producing a positive image.

Also exhibiting on stand #4231 will be the company's revolutionary DataLase CASEMARK label replacement solution, as well as DataLase PACKMARK for applying high speed, on-demand variable information to primary packaging materials.
