Switching to a Three Counties software system, TeeCards Software, has brought benefits for SSAB Swedish Steel.

SSAB Swedish Steel, a company operating in the UK, is benefiting from switching to a Three Counties software system, TeeCards Software The home-grown PC-based T-Card display system has surprised managers by halving admin time and costs at SSAB Swedish Steel in Brierley Hill, near Birmingham - paying for itself in three months

TeeCards, a PC-based T-Card display system, offers excellent planning efficiency, replacing manual planning systems, saving time and money.

The client is a stockholder and processor of organic coated steel, which needed help to manage a busy schedule of 15,000 jobs a year, involving myriad calls between sales and production.

SSAB Swedish Steel's new 20-user TeeCards Software package, involving simple integration to fit in with their existing order system, has halved those calls.

TeeCards software is used around the world by major players, and also brings affordable benefits to compact and lean firms on a budget.

Designed by Worcestershire virtual T-Card software specialists, it is making a big difference to operations for SSAB Finance Director Paul Cartwright, providing much more visibility and impressive savings.

He said: "Beforehand, we had to call production to tell clients when a job was going to be finished.

Now it is all on-screen, allowing us to provide a better customer service.

"Information is power, and we have such efficiency that our internal communications between sales and production have halved.

We automated Tee Cards using Microsoft Excel.

TeeCards has paid for itself in three months." TeeCards Software, of Hagley, Worcs, also saved Airbus' designers GBP50,000 in six months.

TeeCards can be also used for tracking activity, parcels or production processes; with an ActiviTee version created for New York Coast Guard chiefs who liked its ease of use, for incident or event management.

The user-friendly system - adaptable and affordable for small local businesses - shows progress of work, and quickly produces reports and searches for information.

Stephen Rabone, director of TeeCards Software, said: "The whole point of TeeCards software is visibility.

With visibility comes efficiency and better service.

By having TeeCards on a number of PCs time is not wasted in phone calls or trips to view a physical board in some distant office.

Information is a couple of clicks away.
