Designed by Worcestershire virtual T-Card software specialists, it is making a big difference to operations for SSAB Finance Director Paul Cartwright, providing much more visibility and impressive savings.
He said: "Beforehand, we had to call production to tell clients when a job was going to be finished.
Now it is all on-screen, allowing us to provide a better customer service.
"Information is power, and we have such efficiency that our internal communications between sales and production have halved.
We automated Tee Cards using Microsoft Excel.
TeeCards has paid for itself in three months." TeeCards Software, of Hagley, Worcs, also saved Airbus' designers GBP50,000 in six months.
TeeCards can be also used for tracking activity, parcels or production processes; with an ActiviTee version created for New York Coast Guard chiefs who liked its ease of use, for incident or event management.
The user-friendly system - adaptable and affordable for small local businesses - shows progress of work, and quickly produces reports and searches for information.
Stephen Rabone, director of TeeCards Software, said: "The whole point of TeeCards software is visibility.
With visibility comes efficiency and better service.
By having TeeCards on a number of PCs time is not wasted in phone calls or trips to view a physical board in some distant office.
