Going live with Syspro within a twelve week timescale was achieved by working closely with the K3 Business Technology Group (K3) team.
The switchover from the legacy system was performed over a weekend with no downtime, enabling Homelux Nenplas to continue its weekday trading.
"The key to our smooth transition to Syspro was down to the close working relationship our experienced ERP users formed with the K3 team.
By working together they were able to transfer exactly what was necessary to get the new system running in a very short time.
The management team is very happy with the implementation and they are very happy with what we achieved as quickly as we did," said Jonathan Hillyer, IT manager, Homelux Nenplas .
Homelux Nenplas was subject to a management buyout in June 2006 from the North American company Newell Rubbermaid.
This instigated the move from the legacy Movex ERP system to a more streamlined solution that would support the reshaping of the business.
Homelux Nenplas chose user-friendly Syspro ERP with its familiar Microsoft style interface.
This comprehensive end-to-end business solution from K3 provides a robust integrated modular approach that will help the company to respond quickly to existing and evolving customer demands.
Jonathan Hillyer observes that operational costs affect any manufacturer but by using Syspro ERP the company has been able to bring such things as bills and scrap tightly under control.
Commenting on the level of control that Syspro ERP delivers to Homelux Nenplas, Hillyer said: "We have been able to accommodate both sides of our business within what is pretty much the standard system.
And, we are pleased that we have already run a year end report through Syspro." Homelux Nenplas has taken a phased approach to implementing Syspro.
So far, the company is running Manufacturing, Sales Order Processing, and EDI.
The company will soon implement Business Analytics and begin barcode label printing directly from Syspro.
