Space saving patch panels
Angled configuration allows patch cords to be routed directly into vertical cable managers, eliminating the need for additional horizontal cable managers and saving valuable rack space
Fully operational just 2 months before earning ISO certification, the Brno facility will serve as Siemons "pan-EMEA" logistics hub - housing stock and acting as the key distribution centre for the company's markets across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Additionally, the facility houses IT cabling component manufacturing operations.
Commenting on the decision to build this facility, Siemons Chief Technical Officer and VP of Global Operations, John Siemon, explained that expansion of manufacturing and logistics to support regional needs was critical to the company's reliability and service levels: It is a common sense approach.
We are experiencing significant growth in markets such as Asia Pacific and Europe and it makes sense to locate operations centres within those markets.
This allows Siemon to offer the same high level of service anywhere in the world.
Siemon also explained how ISO-level manufacturing in EMEA would expand global capacity and delivery times on high-demand items such as copper patch cords, fibre optic jumpers and cables.
With the Brno facility online and independently certified, it will begin servicing a greater percentage of the EMEA market's demand.
This frees capacity in other Siemon sites to concentrate on the respective local market needs.
Our channel partners in the Americas will feel this improvement as much as those in EMEA.
By adding global capacity, our US manufacturing can focus on the home market.
