Ultra-mini tools turn in confined spaces

Stellram's Ultra-mini programme of replaceable carbide tools allow grooves to be produced in bores as small as 4mm diameter and for widths of 1.0mm, 1,5mm and 2.0mm.

Stellram's Ultra-mini programme, consists of replaceable carbide tools that locate in a common steel shank The steel shanks come in three diameters of 12mm, 16mm and 20mm diameter to suit common bushes and turrets

All shanks have through tool facility.

Carbide inserts are located in the steel shank and cover application ranges for grooving, threading and boring.

Grooves can be produced in bores as small as 4mm diameter and for widths of 1.0mm, 1,5mm and 2.0mm.

The grooving inserts come with a maximum reach of between 10mm and 30mm which makes the system extremely flexible.

Boring can be performed from 2.8mm diameter and up to depths of 30mm.

All boring inserts have an approach angle of 98 degrees which enables bi directional detailing in confined spaces.

All of the boring inserts have 0.2mm maximum nose radius.

Threading inserts are available in 60 degree angles which cover ISO, MJ, UN and UNJ.

Also, 55 degree inserts for Whitworth and BSP threads.

Other inserts are also available for internal chamfering of grooves and preparation of grooves for burr free parting off in small bores.

Three popular kits are available for a combination of grooving and boring, boring or grooving.

These provide a highly flexible range of tools for producing bores or grooves in confined spaces.

Popular in toolrooms, mould shops, valve manufacturers and all small part machine shops.

All inserts are available in TiN PVD coated grade SFZ which gives increased tool life over uncoated inserts and retains a sharp cutting edge for the light depth of cut and feeds required in confined spaces. Request a free brochure from Stellram ...
