Specialist rotational moulder Standel Dawman has launched a new service which offers custom designed, short run, plastics mouldings for automotive and motorcycle applications.

The company offers in-house design and mould making facilities for a wide range of products including air intakes, water tanks, fuel tanks, body and interior components, mudguards and so on.

Moulds for rotational moulding cost less than other moulding processes, which makes rotational moulding extremely cost-effective for the production of prototype or low quantity mouldings.

Products include rigid machine bodies and any specialised items that need a strong hollow body, a complex shape, and to be moulded with a textured moulded surface or with moulded-in graphics.

Special plastics materials can be included and product size can range from 75mm high to 1.5m diameter spheres.

Rotational Moulding manager, Philip Kyle, says: "The opportunities for plastics mouldings with many varied properties are extremely diverse.

Our ability to produce small quantities at cost-effective prices means that whatever the requirement, we have the ability to produce custom designed products to suit virtually every need.".
