Fluid connectors module speeds mould
changes
Specifically designed to accommodate all types of mould fluid connectors, a module speeds up die changeovers on injection moulding machines.
Staubli, the specialists in quick release coupling solutions, have introduced a new module, the EMI 15, specifically designed to accommodate all types of mould fluid connectors, speeding up changeovers on injection moulding machines Frequently, injection moulders need to use moulds that are not equipped with fluid connectors that are compatible with those installed on the moulding machine

Quick clamping systems speed mould changeovers
At users of plastics injection moulding machines, Staubli said that fast and simple mould changing is vital to the efficient operation and a quick mould changing system can improve efficiency.
In these circumstances, Staubli's EMI 15 module offers a definite operating advantage.
It enables quick connection of mould fluid lines regardless of the type on connectors in place.
The module is an efficient interface between the injection moulding machine (IMM) and the mould.
Each module has one inlet port and four separate outlet ports available.
Each outlet port can be fitted with the specific connector required according to the needs of each operator.
The standard version comes with one port fitted with a Staubli RPL/ON/JV valved socket.
The remaining ports can be fitted with Staubli's SPI or RMI connectors, threaded hose stems or other profile plugs as required.
The module is suitable for a maximum working pressure of 10 bar.
The system also allows moulds fitted with multi-coupling plates to be readily connected to IMMs that are equipped for single couplings or conversely moulds fitted only with mono couplings to be easily connected to multi-coupling plates.
This can often be required where new moulds are loaded for trial purposes or the tooling has a low frequency of use.
Staubli is an international family owned group founded over 100 years ago in Switzerland employing 3500 world-wide.
