Digital ink jet printer which provides flexible full colour printing for all types of package labels for manufacturing, at 600 dpi resolution, with speeds of up to 50 labels/min.

Sunala has become the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of the VP2020 digital ink jet printer which provides flexible full colour printing for all types of package labels for manufacturing, logistics and retail operations Powered by Hewlett-Packard technology, the VP2020 prints full colour roll-fed labels and tags at 600 dpi resolution, with speeds of up to 50/min

Users can print labels one at a time or generate entire rolls with variable content including bar codes and serial numbers.

This flexibility makes the printer ideal for the fast-changing requirements of the industrial and retail supply chains, as Sunala managing director Sue Brocklehurst explained: "The emergence of mass customisation, one-to-one marketing and e-fulfilment in today's business environment has presented new challenges to manufacturers and logistics managers, with package labels requiring an ever-increasing amount of printed information in ever-decreasing print runs." She said: "In reality, this means nearly every label has to be customised in some way, so the need for fast and accurate label printing is paramount".

"The VP2020 provides both high quality and reliability on a variety of different jobs." The VP2020 can print variable content such as bar codes, serial numbers and/or colour codes with crisp, vibrant images from Windows-based applications.

High-speed Ethernet and USB are standard.

Sunala said the incorporation of colour coding and images alongside bar codes make visual inspection of packs much easier, helping to avoid errors such as misplaced, mis-picked or mis-shipped products.

The company claims that the inclusion of colour on a label can reduce search time and errors by up to 80%.

"The VP2020 is already featured in our product portfolio and being appointed exclusive distributor ensures we offer the best support for our customers" concluded Brocklehurst.

Sunala said sales for the VP2020 have already been made into specialist food retailers, tool manufacturers and cleaning product suppliers.
