Recycled CNC punch and laser presses
boom
Specialising in supplying 'recycled' Trumpf punching and laser machines, Severn-Broziat has declared a 100% increase in half-year sales in what is seen as a growing market.
In declaring a 100% increase in half-year sales - compared with their January 2002 figures; fabrication machine supplier Severn-Broziat is bucking the trend in machine-tool investment Managing Director Dave McNally believes that it is not just by offering the right 'new technology' machines, but the right machines at the right time and the right price for today's market conditions, that has helped them to double their half-year turnover to more than GBP 1 million

Machine builder also offers refurbished equipment
As well as designing and supplying laser and electron beam systems for a wide range of industries, good quality used machines are occasionally available, such as this one.
From their Worcestershire based facility they specialise in supplying 'recycled' Trumpf punching and laser machines, and McNally believes that it is particularly the growing market in rebuilt or refurbished laser-profiling machines that has fuelled this increase.
He states - "Clients who cannot justify new, but are reluctant to take the 'traditional' second-hand route with highly sophisticated equipment, take great comfort from our 'third way' of working.
By offering machines 'stock-rebuilt' to original specifications - along with guarantees and on-going service; we have introduced companies to laser-processing that would not otherwise have justified that move." Compared with punching machines, lasers now account for a third of the company's unit sales - and obviously more by value; and this is the significant factor in their turnover increase.
However, the company does not neglect the punching market, and Dave McNally backs this up by quoting independent data confirming that in the UK - in calendar year 2002 - Severn-Broziat1s sales of CNC punch-presses were exceeded only by those of Trumpf themselves - with their new Trumatics.
