EDA technology for multi-GHz FPGAs
Synplicity and Achronix Semiconductor announced the two companies have signed a multi-year development and OEM agreement aimed at providing critical EDA technology for the Achronix multi-GHz FPGAs.

As a result, designers can leverage the performance and quality of results offered by Synplicity's Synplify Pro software with Achronix's multi-GHz programmable devices, creating opportunities for new types of products that require high performance but have been unable to use FPGAs to date.

In 2007, Achronix will bundle the optimized version of Synplicity's Synplify Pro synthesis software into its Integrated Design Environment.
