Software programs press brake robots rapidly
Computer software quickly and efficiently programs robots for use in tending press brakes in a rapid, simple off-line process that copes with complex work.
The integrated, customised systems for line operation and diagnostics, as well as the dedicated operating software, are also developed by Stam.
This ensures total control over the quality of the lines and at the same time allows all users' wishes to be taken into account.
* Built to modern concepts - Stam makes special provision to avoid damaging the most delicate of materials.
For example, special attention is given to the levellers, when delicate materials are processes, especially stainless steels, prepainted steels, aluminium, zinc and so on, in order to avoid traces of oil or grease on the strip.
Stam levellers comprise machines from 300-2200mm working width, and thicknesses from 0.2-13mm.
The levellers have work rolls from 11 to 23 in number - with or without idler rolls, that is, six-high, five-high or four-high configurations, depending on the material to be processed.
Back-up rolls range from three to nine depending on the material processes and its width.
The levellers feature computer controlled back-up rolls and roll tilting adjustments.
The control system can store up to 999 machine set-up programs.
Stam levellers have centralised and automatic lubrication of all the moving parts and can also be shipped with a roll-cleaning device.
If necessary, a roll changeover cassette can be provided.
The cut-to-length lines can include the following.
* Edge trimmers with scrap choppers, scrap rewinders or scrap balers, to trim the coil edges or achieve a desired coil width.
* High performance cropping shears, hydraulically or mechanically operated, for fixed or swinging or trapezoidal and parallel cutting.
Stam also supplies rotary shears that guarantee high performance and precision.
The company supplies stacking systems, air cushioning, mechanical or magnetic type, that guarantee to preserve optimum sheet surface quality.
The operation of the line is computer-controlled, which sets up the machine according to program data.
The STAM software can be linked to the user's operating systems via an interface.
'Teleservice' software can be proved for the line.
This provides a direct link between the machine site and Stam headquarters.
