Abrasive machine automatically radiuses corners
Abrasive belt machine will automatically radius corners corners on metal enclosures in seconds, as the abrasive belt head will pivot around the corner automatically.
It consists of a 4.1HP abrasive belt head with contact wheel at the front end, a top platen, plus a permanently fitted centreless unit at the rear end of the machine.
The contact wheel is used for general grinding and deburring, the top platen for linishing and chamfering and the centreless unit for grinding and polishing of tubes from approx.
25mm to 100mm diameter.
The abrasive belt size is 75mm x 2000mm and the contact wheel 200 mm dia x 75 mm wide.
The front contact wheel work station has a support table which facilitates grinding of short parts but which can also be removed for grinding longer parts.
The top flatbed platen is 540 mm long and 75mm wide.
It can be used for grinding, deburring and chamfering.
The permanently fitted centreless unit is designed for manual operation and for intermittent use.
Tubes up to approx.
1000mm long can be fed manually into the machine, longer tubes require a suitable conveyor system.
A built in dust extractor rounds off the compact machine package.
For small to medium amounts of non-hazardous dust the extractor exhausts through a fabric filter bag, for larger amounts of dust and dust with hot sparks an optional metal cyclone is available.
Model 75-2000/CGX is one of over 50 abrasive belt grinding, deburring and polishing machines availablle from Surtech.
