Through feed abrasive belt machine will grind, deburr, grain and polish sheet metal and hollow sections, flat bar, extrusions and other flat parts in a single pass.

Surtech's model ST 300 through feed abrasive belt machine will grind, deburr, grain and polish sheet metal, hollow sections, flat bar, extrusions and other flat parts in a single pass Once the machine is set to the correct thickness parts are placed on the rubber conveyor to travel underneath one or two abrasive belt heads

Pinch rollers on each side of the abrasive belt prevent parts from slipping and a sensor stops the machine if oversize parts are loaded.

The maximum working width for model ST 300 is 290mm.

The shortest part the machine can handle is approx.

100mm.

There is no restriction on length.

The variable speed conveyor allows through feed speeds from 0,5m/min to over 5m/min.

Contact pressures are controlled via a built in ammeter.

Model ST 300 operates dry and has a dust extraction channel with a 150mm spigot.

Abrasive belts can be used for heavy stock removal, for deburring or for graining.

Abrasive impregnated nylon belts are used for blending and satin finishing.

Superfinishing belts are available for polishing.

Model ST 300 is part of a range of through feed machines available from Surface Technology Products Ltd with working widths from 150mm to 1600mm.

Most of the machines can be viewed and tested in Surtech's Abrasive Test Centre in Birmingham, UK.
