Contact wheels can be chosen for aggresive grinding with high stock removal rates or for fine finishing to specified CLA values.
The feed unit has controls for diameter setting, contact pressure setting and feed speed setting.
Short tubes up to approx.
1000mm length can be fed manually into the machine, although it is advisable to fit a short guide on the infeed and outfeed sides.
Longer tubes up to 6000mm require optional conveyor systems which are available in many designs depending the lenght and weight of the tube and the degree of automation that is required.
Model 504 BC is mostly used as a single head machine and for dry operation.
Surtech can also offer a very similar machine with twin heads and for wet operation.
