A powerful, high torque, 1200W electric motor is fitted to an electric abrasive belt grinder that has built-in tachogenerator to keep cutting speeds at constant levels regardless of contact pressure.

Surtech's Rotobelter has a powerful, high torque, 1200W electric motor with a built in tachogenerator which keeps cutting speeds at constant selected levels regardless of contact pressures applied Cutting speeds can be adjusted from 10m/sec to 30m/sec

Abrasive belts are 618mm x 40mm and the 80mm diameter x 40mm wide contact wheels are available in three hardnesses suitable for aggressive stock removal or fine finishing.

The tool weighs only 4kg.

Two handles make control easy and safe.

Welds can be ground flat without damage to the parent metal.

Gates and risers on castings can be removed in seconds.

Metal surfaces can be cleaned from rust and paint and finished at the same time.

The Rotobelter greatly extends the use of abrasive belts as superior grinding and finishing tools.

Abrasive belts cut faster, deburr finer and finish smoother than any other grinding materials.

In addition to abrasive belts the Rotobelter can be used with nylon belts for blending and finishing after grinding and with conglomerate belts or structured abrasives for graining, satin finishing and polishing.

The Rotobelter is one of over 100 portable abrasive power tools available from Surtech.

You can test it on your own parts at Surtech's Abrasive Test Centre in Birmingham.

Alternatively you can ask for a demonstration in your works.
