Permanent lifting magnets offer a 3:1 Safety Factor, meaning the products lift three times the rated capacity and have a self-locking mechanism, which prevents accidental deactivation of the magnet.

SAV North America, the subsidiary of Spann Automations Normteiletechnik (SAV) of Nuremberg, Germany, has introduced several new material handling products in the USA, Canada, and Mexico The first of these is a series of Permanent Lifting Magnets

There are four lift magnets in the line for lifting flat pieces from 275 to 2200 lb (125 to 1000kg) and round materials or parts from 88 to 1100 lb (40 to 500kg).

The primary benefit of the SAV lift magnets is that one person can ergonomically and safely lift these heavy weights horizontally.

Further, these magnets offer a 3:1 Safety Factor, meaning the products lift three times the rated capacity, which complies with NASI/ASME B30.20-1985 for 'below the hook' lifting devices.

An improved handle design features a self-locking mechanism that prevents accidental deactivation of the magnet.

The lifter's permanent magnet circuit does not affect any CNC machine components.

The SAV magnetic lift magnets come complete with plates showing lifting values for various thickness and surface conditions.

Lift magnets may be applied in tandem for handling even heavier pieces.
