Enhanced Ethernet switches' cost halved
Enhanced, real-time five-port Ethernet switches offering extreme ruggidness now have dual power inputs, so that if primary power supply fails, the backup power supply takes over.
Now available from SIXNET are the new and improved Industrial Ethernet Real-time Switches (ET-5ES series) These five-port Ethernet switches are the next generation of the previous ET-GT-5ES models which are the industry standard for their extreme-ruggedness and ultra-reliability

They are 100% compatible drop-in replacements with all the same industrial ratings, plus new capabilities - all at half the cost! As before, these switches are truly plug and play and will start operating as soon as you plug them in.
Product Manager, Mike O'Connor says "These new models have all the same industrial qualities and features you expect in a SIXNET product, plus they now have dual power inputs.
If your primary power supply fails, be assured that your system won't, due to the backup power supply.
And because of real-time optimizations and intelligent routing, no collisions will occur.
These capabilities are perfect for use in distributed or real-time control systems." The original plug and play simplicity still exists with auto-sensing for speed and duplex, along with auto-crossover for using both cable types and auto-polarity for fixing swapped TD and RD signals.
Deterministic performance is provided with high throughput (3.2 Gbps, non-blocking) to ensure no delays, and special handling for the many repeated short messages found in real-time polled systems.
SIXNET switches are specifically design to operate from -40 to 85 deg C and have over one billion running hours without a single temperature related failure to prove it.
They carry UL/CSA/CE ratings and perform in Class 1, Div.
2 (Zone 2) hazardous locations, as well as marine/offshore applications.
These switches run directly off of DC power, and with a small footprint they fit into any equipment-filled enclosure by DIN rail or direct panel mounting.
There are several models to choose from which offer different mixes of RJ45 and fiber ports, SC and ST fiber connectors, as well as the option to run long haul fiber distances of 40km or more. Request a free brochure from Sixnet ...
