The SNMP add-on provides users with the ability to obtain valuable network management information from the SNMP agent (Simple Network Management Protocol) in their IPm controllers or RTUs.
A Rules Wizard in the I/O Tool Kit configures the SNMP agent that has been integrated into the standard IPm firmware.
Puchase of a license is required to use either of these new add-on features with IPm units.
Licenses may be obtained directly through SIXNET's Web Store at www.sixnetio.com.
Once the license for the add-on has been purchased, users simply "unlock" the new capability using their I/O Tool Kit so they can make immediate use of the enhanced functionality.
