SIXNET is pleased to announce the availability of the first significant improvement to leased line modem technology in many years The VT-MODEM-4 supports fast point to point continuous connections over 2-wire leased PSTN lines

Traditionally, leased line modems have been restricted to slow communications (typically 1200 or 2400 baud.) This new industrially hardened modem incorporates modern data compression technology to speed up communications to rates up to 33.6 Kbaud.

This modem can be used to replace obsolete leased line modems, improving both performance and reliability.

The industrially hardened modem is rated -30 to 70C operation and is tough enough for Class 1, Div.

2 (Zone 2) hazardous locations.

Like most SIXNET products, this modem also allows for DIN Rail or flat panel mounting and can be conveniently installed in any enclosure.

Besides all of this, it can be powered from any 10-30 VDC source, which means no more bulky AC adapters.

SIXNET guarantees long-term availability and technical support on this and all SIXNET industrial modem products.

This is especially important to OEMs and end users who are faced with the obsolescence of their existing leased line modems.

SIXNET's support commitment includes certification for use in over 100 countries world-wide.

SIXNET offers a complete line of industrially hardened telephone modems to meet your needs.
