The reliability of plants is of prime importance; no one can afford unscheduled shutdowns and downtime, which is why attending the Achieving Maintenance Excellence conference is important.

In today's competitive business environment the reliability of plants is of prime importance; no one can afford unscheduled shutdowns and downtime However, budget constraints in new machinery and equipment investments make it crucial to maintain existing assets in a smart and cost effective manner: Equipment availability and reliability improvements to eliminate the need for maintenance are essential

Preventive, condition based proactive maintenance, as well as risk based approaches and TPM are replacing traditional reactive maintenance.

Additionally there is a continuous trend towards outsourcing, which in a maintenance environment extends from specialised services, contract labour and consigned spare parts through to a full, shared risk-reward, incentive-based partnership.

Why would a company decide to form a maintenance partnership? What issues must be considered? Most importantly - what are the results achieved and lessons learnt after years of actual operation? What about risks? How should maintenance and partners be integrated with production needs and an overall strategy? This conference is a unique opportunity to share the experiences of speakers from successful, well-known companies, who will pass on crucial knowledge and point out what they have done and which approach they have chosen to manage risk, run highly effective partnerships, align maintenance strategy and delivery to the business needs.

Companies presenting will include: Anglesey Aluminium, AstraZeneca, Dalkia, Goodyear, Hydro Poylmers, Huntsman Petrochemicals, MCP, Petrofac Facilities Management, Rank Hovis, Rolls-Royce, Suiko-WCS and Utek (Sweden).

The conference is aimed at Organisational Leaders from: Plant Management, Engineering, Maintenance/Technical Asset Management, Manufacturing/ Operations, Facilities Management, TPM and Continuous Improvement.

If you would like to learn more about how to align and deliver the maintenance strategy to your internal customers, we would strongly recommend you to attend the one day pre-conference workshops focusing on this topic (22nd Sept, 2004).
