Lower price ceramic inserts are pressed to size
What is believed to be a ground-breaking new product - 'As Pressed' ready-sized ceramic inserts - will be launched at MACH 2002. The inserts are some 20% lower in cost and life increased by 30%.
Tests with the new holder show that it is capable of interrupted cutting of materials with an hardness up to 240HB with a 2mm depth of cut at a feed rate of up to 110m/min.
A number of turning tests have demonstrated that the clamping power of the 'T' type holder is significantly stronger than that of a lever lock holder, enabling feeds to be increased greatly when conducting continuous or interrupted cutting.
The high clamping force of the tool will significantly increase tool life and improve productivity.
The new 'T' type holder is a huge improvement upon the lever lock type holder and customers will see considerable benefits in productivity.
