Lower price ceramic inserts are pressed to size
What is believed to be a ground-breaking new product - 'As Pressed' ready-sized ceramic inserts - will be launched at MACH 2002. The inserts are some 20% lower in cost and life increased by 30%.
Pressed ceramic inserts up cutting performance
To be launched at MACH 2002 is a product that will revolutionise the metal cutting industry's use of ceramic inserts for turning and grooving, dramati- cally improving tool-life and cutting speeds.
This new innovation has a maximum run-out of 0.01mm and a repeatability of 0.01mm - levels unparalleled by competitors 'V' pocket design.
The guide roll of the prism shape guarantees easy clamping between the insert and holder, which is supported by a high tensile screw that provides a strong clamping structure.
This structure is further supported by a carbide shank that makes the Chase F-Ball ideal for machining deep mould cavities.
The exceptional rigidity of the Chase F-Ball makes the cutter suitable for high precision milling at high speed.
This rigidity is the same as a solid carbide end mill; this significantly improves tool life, surface finish and accuracy in comparison to steel shank tooling.
This extremely accurate system is ideal for semi-finishing and finishing operations.
The insert grades currently available for the Chase F-Ball are the TT9030 for general machining, the TT1040 for high hardened steel and high speed machining and the TT8030 for semi-finishing and the aerospace industry.
The range of inserts makes the Chase F-Ball suitable to companies machining low carbon steels, alloy steels, pre-hardened steel for mold and die, tool steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminium alloys.
