Lower price ceramic inserts are pressed to size
What is believed to be a ground-breaking new product - 'As Pressed' ready-sized ceramic inserts - will be launched at MACH 2002. The inserts are some 20% lower in cost and life increased by 30%.
Pressed ceramic inserts up cutting performance
To be launched at MACH 2002 is a product that will revolutionise the metal cutting industry's use of ceramic inserts for turning and grooving, dramati- cally improving tool-life and cutting speeds.
The TaeguTec milling line will be demonstrated on a Kondia HM-1060 Portal Bridge Type Vertical Machining Centre.
Already working in harmony at world leading subcontractor FormaPlex of Portsmouth, the rigid machine will assist TaeguTec in demonstrating the capabilities of its tooling.
To be paraded at MACH, the Chase F-Ball, ChaseFeed and Bull Cutter designed for the mould and die sector will highlight their capabilities on P20 Tool Steel.

Dense carbides mill cast iron at 45,000 rev/min
Specifically designed for mould and die toolmakers and high speed machining applications, the use of extra dense, sub-micron grade carbides in end mills enable cast iron milling at 45,000 rev/min.
Exceptionally strong holder allows bigger feeds
Providing exceptionally strong clamping force, a turning toolholder is ideal for high feed machining enabling feeds to be increased greatly when conducting continuous or interrupted cutting.
Multi-function tools reduce machining cycle time
Multi-function tooling system enables one single tool to conduct turning, drilling and boring operations and so cuts production cycle times and reduces the need for multiple tools.
Ideal for use on similar materials will be the successful new ChaseMini line of cutters.
The rapidly growing popularity of the line has seen TaeguTec quickly add new products to the line that include the new four and seven tooth AXMT06 tools and inserts added to the end mills, modular systems, extended flute end mills and face cutter ranges already in the ChaseMini line.
The new ChaseFeed range of cutters for the demands of ultra high feed face milling applications has been designed to incorporate a large radius cutting edge with unique insert geometry to reduce cycle times and machining costs.
Ideal for the Mould and Die industry, tests have shown the system can operate with 4.00mm/tooth loads on 3mm deep cuts with a wide range of materials.
A feature TaeguTec is keen to demonstrate at the show.
Further demonstrations on the Kondia machine will include aluminium machining with the exceptional ChaseOcto cutter, ChaseMill AXMT 09 cutter and the AluMilll solid carbide cuters.
A range of products that will undoubtedly be a hit with the visitors to the stand.
Alongside the tools demonstrated on the machining centre will be the turning tools and at MACH TaeguTec will give its UK launch to the internal turning T-Holder, T-Clamp and the T-Cap multi-function cutting tools.
The outstanding new T-Holder system has a simple structure with very strong clamping that prevents vibration and insert movement to promote exceptionally long tool life.
With an exceptionally simple and strong clamping unit that guarantees accurate indexing of the insert, the new T-Holder will undoubtedly be a success.
The proven success of the T-Clamp range multi-function cutting tools will also see the new modular adaptors exhibited at MACH.
This new innovation enables the T-Clamp to accept a number of adaptors for grooving, turning, parting off and face machining applications.
The new modular system increases flexibility and improves productivity significantly enabling the machine to free up additional tool positions.
The adaptors have a strong and precise pocket location system that provides exceptional repeatability and performance on high precision and heavy machining applications.
Beside the extensive range of turning tools TaeguTec will demonstrate the complete T-Drill line.
Feedback from the market has urged the company to launch the T-Drill line with diameters from 12.5 to 15mm.
To compliment the expansion of the T-Drill range, the new cutters will be available in 2xD, 3xD and 4xD drilling depths, increasing in 0.5mm increments.
This now provides 0.5mm increments up to 29.5mm.
The T-Drill exhibits extremely high rigidity; this characteristic guarantees exceptional surface finish and an innate ability to maintain a high level of concentricity.
This rigidity also guarantees that hole diameters are maintained to within very tight tolerances.
The T-Drill has a quickly gained a reputation as the outstanding drilling tool in the marketplace and a TaeguTec representative will be pleased to demonstrate why.
