Compensation for linear misalignment
improved
The connection of linear actuators, guides, potentiometers or motors to other drive or driven elements is critical, and an answer is a linear coupling with a high capacity spring system.
The connection of linear actuators, guides, potentiometers or motors to other drive or driven elements is a critical one A high degree of alignment is required to prevent binding or wear which, if left unresolved, will substantially decrease operational efficiency and life

More torque offered in smaller gearboxes
In response to requests for higher torque capacities in smaller gearbox sizes, Tandler has been added three sizes with maximum torque of 300Nm, 640Nm and 1200Nm.
Couplings reduced in size by 33%
Optimised disc springs and the use of new wear-free materials has allowed couplings in to be reduced in size by 33% without compromising performance.
Rod ends or clevises are commonly used to address the problem but whilst they compensate to a degree for angular misalignment, neither accommodate parallel misalignment and both introduce the problem of backlash.
The optimum solution is to be found in a new introduction from Tandler Precision.
Its new R+W LK linear coupling has a patented high capacity spring system that absorbs parallel misalignment up to 0.7mm and angular misalignment up to 1.5deg.
The compact design of this new addition contributes to its low weight.
This results in a very low inertial load.
It also exhibits zero axial backlash under all operating conditions and provides a virtually limitless service life.
Designed for high dynamic applications with accelerations up to 300m/s2 and/or high tensile and compressive loads up to 500N, this new coupling is ideal for a range of applications.
These include the connection of linear positioning sensors, linear motors, actuators, electric and pneumatic cylinders.
The LK linear coupling is especially valuable as a superior replacement for actuator rod ends. Request a free brochure from Tandler Precision ...
