Couplings reduced in size by 33%
Optimised disc springs and the use of new wear-free materials has allowed couplings in to be reduced in size by 33% without compromising performance.
The latest generation of R + W torque limiters from Tandler Precision are more compact, weigh less and deliver an even longer service life than their forerunners Optimised disc springs and the use of new wear-free materials has allowed couplings in the SK Series to be reduced in size by 33% without compromising performance

Compensation for linear misalignment improved
The connection of linear actuators, guides, potentiometers or motors to other drive or driven elements is critical, and an answer is a linear coupling with a high capacity spring system.
Gearbox range has over 10,000 designs and ratios
Claimed to be unmatched for their precision, durability and design variety, tehre are over 10,000 designs and ratios available in a standard gearbox range.
Thanks to this development, even drives with limited space can take advantage of a standard solution for torque overload protection.
The R + W patented operating principle and frictional clamp connection ensure the coupling is completely backlash free.
It is also torsionally stiff and has an extremely low moment of inertia.
In the event of an overload, the degressive characteristics of the disc spring allow speedy disengagement and low residual friction of the clutch.
The new SK range is available in four designs.
The options are the standard, single position version and the multi-position design that automatically re-engages after 45, 60, 90 or 120deg.
The load holding model permits minimal rotation and then maintains contact between the drive and driven axes without disconnecting the drive.
The final choice is the free-wheeling version that ensure permanent separation; this must be physically reset in the event of an overload.
Manufactured to ISO9001, these new and easy-to-install couplings now cover an adjustment range of 0.1 to 2,800Nm and are suitable for shaft diameters from 4mm to 100mm. Request a free brochure from Tandler Precision ...
