Taiwan Commate Computer (Commel), a leading provider of Mini-ITX platform solutions, has introduced the new embedded LV-667 advanced digital media Mini-ITX mainboard, designed to meet the needs of applications on the rapidly emerging new generation of smart digital entertainment devices such as PVRs, set-top boxes, gaming machines, kiosk and media centres, even NAS, POS and ATM applications are suitable Commel's LV-667 is based on VIA C3 (VIA Eden CPU option), supports up to 1GB of DDR 400/333/266 SDRAM with the acclaimed FastStream64 memory controller, and high-speed Ultra-Link interface for a 1GB/s connection to VIA's feature-leading South Bridge options

Integrating the S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP graphics core, the LV-667 leverages the advanced hardware MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 acceleration features on all display types from CRT and LCD screens to standard definition TV and HDTVs.
Through the onboard VT8237 South Bridge, the LV-667 offers a comprehensive range of interacted storage, multimedia and connectivity options, including Serial ATA, UltraDMA IDE, USB 2.0, 2 x 10/100Mbps LAN, 4 x COM, 3 x IEEE1394 and V-RAID with support for RAID configurations.
The board also has support for six-channel AC97 Audio and DVI or HDTV interface, and it also has an LVDS interface from a Mini-P slot.
In addition, the LV-667 is also equipped with Compactflash for easily using a solid-state disk.
Product specifications include: onboard embedded VIA C3 1.00 GHz CPU; 1 x 184-pin DDR266/333/400 SDRAM up to 1.0GB; VIA CN400 and VT8237 chipset; two UltraATA/100 channel up to 4 ATAPI; 4 x RS232 Serial Ports, 4 x USB2.0 ports, 1 x DB15 VGA port,1 x PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports; an optional onboard DVI interface(LV-667D); an optional onboard SDTV/HDTV interface (LV-667T); an optional 18/24-bit LVDS interface with Mini-P add-on card for LV-667; 3 x IEEE1394 ports with VIA VT6306 MAC/PHY; onboard programmable 8-bit Digital I/O interface; 1 x VIA VT6103 10/100Mbps PHY, and 1 x Realtek 8100B 10/100Mbps PCI controller.
