Stove enamel controls static
TBA Electro Conductive Products has introduced a static dissipative stoving enamel that provides a high performance, rapid curing, high build coating with excellent static control characteristics.
Static control specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has introduced a new static dissipative (SD) stoving enamel that provides a high performance, rapid curing, high build coating with excellent static control characteristics ECP 538 multi-purpose SD stoving enamel is ideal for use on metal surfaces such as louvred panels, racking and trolleys, producing surface resistivity of less than 10 to power of 9 /sq and charge decay rate of 5000 to 37V in less that 2 seconds JC155

Desoldering guns intended for static environments
Professional quality desoldering guns, including models designed for solder removal operations in static sensitive environments, meet the requirements of BS IEC 61340 Pt.1 - 1998.
The light grey enamel is formulated for use with all types of conventional application equipment including hot spray, airless, electrostatic and "spinning bell" dipping.
A coating of 50micron wet film thickness provides a final dry film thickness of 25microns.
Specifications include specific gravity of 1.50g/cm3, viscosity of 3 to 4.5 poise IC Cone and Plate, flashpoint between 22 and 32degC, flash off time of 15 minutes, temperature resistance of 160degC and coverage of approximately 15 square metres per litre.
Stoving requirements are 30 minutes at 120degC.
To ensure excellent performance, TBA ECP can also provide suitable degreasing solvents and primers for various surfaces including aluminium, alloys and steel that promote improved appearance and adhesion.
Further improvements can be obtained by using TBA ECP's range of full stoving primers that also provide corrosion protection.
Several such primers are available including TBA Universal Air Dry, Stoving Primer, Undercoat Z41M111 and Red Oxide Epikote Stoving Primer.
