The pioneering technology of Toyota's System of Active Stability (SAS) enhances productivity, with features such as the Active Steering Synchroniser ensuring that the steering wheel is constantly re-aligned with the rear wheels, so the truck always sets off in the direction expected.
* Repetitive handling operations speeded up - SAS Automatic Fork Levelling makes repetitive loading and unloading operations quicker by enabling the forks to be set to a horizontal position at the touch of a button.
This feature also enables the forks to pick up pallets accurately and therefore provides better protection to the contents and minimal risk of damage from the forks, said Toyota.
Toyota Material Handling UK's Marketing Manager, Miles Griffin, said: "Without the highest standards of productivity and profitability, forklifts will not achieve their full potential.
The Tonero demonstrates how these demands can be met, without compromising safety".
Available in seven models with load capacities ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes and offering a choice of diesel or LPG engines, users can choose the forklift to suit their applications and conditions.
The Toyota Tonero can be customised to suit the specific needs of each customer, with the Tonero+ packages including productivity modifications that further enhance the Tonero's output and efficiency.
Griffin added: "Every customer has unique business requirements, which is why we offer the Tonero+ formula.
Operations that require more frequent reversing and driving on uneven surfaces can deliver more with the Tonero+ Productivity, with swivel seats designed to improve visibility and rear assist grip to enhance reverse travel comfort.
Optional hydraulic cushioned forks make driving on uneven surfaces more comfortable".
